Stephen Brock - Principal

Stephen Brock is an experienced real estate developer and finance professional with nearly two

decades of experience specializing in the development, financing, and ownership of affordable,

multi-family rental housing. As the founder and President of Brock Ventures, Inc. and Kent Place

Holdings, LLC, Stephen has successfully led the development and general partnership ownership

of affordable housing properties comprising nearly 800 apartments. Outside of ownership

participation, he has overseen or consulted on the development of various affordable housing

projects comprising over 500 additional units.

His core expertise lies in engineering and driving structured financial deals that blend Low-Income

Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC – 4% and 9%), federal and state Historic Tax Credits, government-

insured loans, and funding from HUD, USDA, FHLB, and other federal and local programs.

Stephen excels in navigating the intricate legal, financial, and operational requirements associated

with affordable housing, bringing projects from concept through completion with a consistent

focus on long-term viability and community impact.

Prior to launching his real estate development career, Stephen built a strong foundation in financial

planning, business analysis, and strategic project management in the banking and finance sectors.

His roles at Bank of America, Oakwood Homes, and Republic Mortgage Insurance Company

involved overseeing a billion dollar budget, implementing enterprise-wide technology solutions,

project management, and improving operational efficiency through data-driven decision making.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Wofford College and a Master of Business

Administration with a concentration in Finance from Wake Forest University. His combined

background in finance, real estate, technology, and process improvement makes him uniquely

positioned to create and sustain affordable housing communities that are financially sound and

socially impactful.
